I keep reading that Recraft v3 is a better AI image generation model than Flux 1.1.
I can tell you firsthand that this is total nonsense — at least for certain types of images.
I have a lot of experience with this because I often need to generate beautiful female models to become AI influencers.
Take a look at this experiment I just did:
Flux 1.1 vs Recraft v3 — Which model generates better-looking people?
Test 1: 20-year-old Asian female model
Flux 1.1 (I used the FLUX1.1 PRO ULTRA RAW model on Cartario)
Prompt: “Absolutely beautiful 20-year-old Asian female model in shorts and t-shirt. You can see her face clearly.”
Great results! Both of these models look beautiful. Both look realistic.

Now let’s take a look at:
Recraft v3
These images from Recraft are significantly worse. Both models look “odd”.
Also, these models are far less attractive than the ones from Flux. I’m not sure if it is because of Recraft’s training images or something else, but I’ve noticed this consistently.
That is, Flux 1.1 tends to create much more realistic and beautiful looking people than Recraft
Note: I generated more than 10 images using the same prompt with both Flux and Recraft. The models always look better with Flux.
Test 2: 20-year-old white blond female model
I wondered if Recraft is worse with just Asian models for some reason.
That’s why I decided to run this second experiment.
Prompt: “Absolutely beautiful 20-year-old white female model with blond hair wearing shorts and t-shirt. You can see her face clearly.”
Again, Flux 1.1 shines! These models look great.
Now let’s compare these to Recraft V3
Again, no comparison.
The winner is clearly Flux 1.1. The models from Recraft look odd (look at the eyes). They also look sickly — like they have a drug problem (that is the feeling I get).
