One point that stood out for me in your post about growth secrets on Substack is restacking your own notes or posting them again. I suppose that's one way to get noticed more. I just wouldn't feel comfortable doing that as I'm naturally a very quiet person. I'd hope my posts spoke for themselves with the little notes I announce them with. I write fun, informative and engaging posts. But getting noticed when you're not a shouty person is the challenge.
Notes is too difficult to access and use, that's why most people don't use them. Subscribers can't find their comments to notes so they stop commenting out of frustration. Substack needs to make them more intuitive. Until then they're a waste of time and are a negative, in my opinion.
Great stuff!! I have found that using notes has increased my followers threefold. Greatly appreciate the depth and breadth of your article. Best, David
I've experimented with writing down notes in a document and then just posting them in about three times a day. But I also have had fun composing notes in the moment. I treat them all almost like a little haikyuu, like a tiny poem capturing a moment of emotion or achievement. It's been fun! My take away from this article is not to worry about posting too many of them...
It's an amazing and quite insightful experience.

Currently substack notes have a lovely quality compared to short form posts on other platforms. Hopefully things will continue like this.
There is a sure shot system of posting Notes, which I have found. And the system is "there is no system".

Thanks for removing lot of frictions around notes.
Thank you very much, Andrew!
